This story goes to show that my family and I eat out way to much. We were in a Mexican food restaurant and I needed to take my son to the restroom. There is a show on cable TV called to “Catch a thief.” The premise is that two ex-burglars  find a home or business that needs added security and then go the owner and do a walk through. They identify potential safety issues and entry points and assist the owner in helping to improve their security. Then within a week they send in their expert burglar to see if they can break into the home or business. I was watching a story on the new Hybrid trucks that run on ethanol and promise to help improve gas mileage. One of the interesting things that came out of the story is that even with all the corn that is being used there could never be enough to help in our dependence on oil. It was stated that if we used all the corn that is produced every year that this would only help satisfy 7% of the fuel consumption. As truck makers strive to improve fuel costs alternative fuels will be a big part of the story. I guess if someone were able to offer truck tool boxes that would be able to hold additional fuel or a device that could help convert various products to fuel could be the next big thing.

OK, I know what you are going to say. “Jeff have you spent too much out in the sun?” No, I am in the county fair mood and was thinking about all the animal inflatable toys that will be entering our home over the next week. It is amazing to think, and sad too, that we will spend probably three times what the animal costs at the fair/carnival. No matter how much we tell or children to save their money for items that would use more often, the lure of winning a toy is too great. I would just rather go out to the web and get a better price and save the rest of the money for a funnel cake.
