The drawbacks of earlier watches were that they were large and not very comfortable,and gradually there came into existence the pendent or locket watch. The original watches were developed in Europe. It was not until the late 1800’s that watches were able to be made in mass by the use of machines. This helped to lower prices and make the watches more widely available to the masses. Plus this helped to improve technology and make watches more of the everyday life. There are now multiple makers of high end watches like Breguet which offer a high end selection of wrist watches for those looking to make a statement.
