Fire sale in Vegas
posted in Blogging |When the fire broke out at the Monte Carlo Hotel and resort approximately 120 firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the blaze. The great thing as that no one was hurt and the building is still in good shape from the 26th floor down. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation and there is no word on when the hotel/casino will reopen. Other hotels in Las Vegas will gladly take on the added responsibility of hosting the guests and casino players that would have normally stayed at the Monte Carlo. Had this happened back in the early 70’s you would suspect that a competing casino would be involved, but today most of the bad influence has left the town.
