This years PBR event will be held in Las Vegas where the winner will be crowned for this years bull riding competitions. Luckily I was able to attend a few since my aunts and uncles were involved in the various local rodeos. I have watched over the years the even on TV, and would love to be there in person to see all the action. Especially since al lot of the off camera action and how certain bull riders prepare for the ride. If you attend one of these events at your local fair and radio you should bring your Nikon binoculars to help you really see the action up close.The PBR brings in bull riders from the all over the world, which is unique for a traditionally American sport. Gene Simmons of KISS fame has ventured into the world of plastic surgery and made it public on his reality TV show ” Gene Simmons Family jewels” Simmons had a facelift and liposuction surgery and these procedures are set to be aired on two April 1 episodes. He told USA Today that their decision to go for dual facelift was just sort of unplanned. Of course in our celebrity frenzied world photos of his surgery were made available online shortly after he had the surgery done. I recently saw a show where Ace Freely was a judge for some bizarre contest and he looked awful. I guess all the lat night partying finally caught up to some of the members or maybe it was all that silver makeup they had to wear.

I think what would be more dramatic is to see Gene have his hair straightened like many of the other celebs that are coming back to TV. I was getting ready to go to a meeting for a few days and as I was packing my computer bag I realized just how bad it looked. This year we are planning a neighborhood Halloween party that will be quite the event. We will be purchasing Halloween invitations to send out well in advance to all the neighbors to highlight some of the events that we have planned. Starting at 5 PM we will have a kids haunted house where the younger kids in the neighborhood can walk through. Then after 7 PM we will turn the heat up and make the haunted house much scarier with the help of some of our neighbors getting dressed up as some famous villains and monsters. Complete with a fog machine, strobe lights, and the unexpected dead body lying in the grass this should be something that the local will be talking about for a while.

There are many things that we have purchased for our home that have added to the ambiance outside. Two of those items are wind chimes and a fire pit. We recently purchased the fire pit to put out on the patio to roast marshmallows and have some heat during the cooler spring evenings. It is very similar to having an outdoor fireplace but more contained. We opted for the propane version which is great since there are no logs that you have to take care of once you are done. This makes it handy to fire up the pit and have instant warmth and a great place to make smores.

The latest craze in fitness seems to be kick boxing. These days it has become easier to purchase boxing equipment with the popularity of the sport and the fact it has been shown to be very good for a cardio workout. I personally have relied on the treadmill as a main source of my cardio workout. We just recently came back from a theme park here in the Northwest where most of the day was spent in their waterpark. I was amazed at all the various rides and features that they offered for every person of all ages. They had your typical waterslides, but they also had several kids areas that were amazing. They included various tree house type setups that really engaged the kids and was great for parents since each area was closely monitored by lifeguards and offered free pool floats for the guests. This helped to facilitate a safer environment while offering the kids a fun way to float around the play island and not forcing us to drag in various flotation devices into the park.

I think this is the year that I get started looking for my halloween costume early. I am one of those who wait until the night before, or the day of to find a costume and usually end with something stupid. Last year most of the halloween costumes were gone so I was stuck with an astronaut outfit that looked like I was wearing an orange prison suit. My wife got a little riskier with a French maid costumes???????? ????? ???????? that was suitable to wear out in public, but was even better later that evening. That year we had an array of costumes and probably goes to show that you should not wait until the last minute to pick out your costume.
