There are millions of people that are selling everything from electronics to lava lamps to clothing. Many of those of folks are selling and buying online through auction sites like eBay. eBay has changed the face of online commerce and has become a source to check fair market value prices on items. What started out as a bartering system has grown into a international marketplace. Many of those that have made their riches on eBay do so using manufacturers that have the wholesale clothing and then will either drop ship to the customers or sell directly to the sellers on eBay who then turnaround and ship out the inventory.

We started selling on eBay for a while using some of the drop shippers and the process actually worked quite well. The key thing is to find a few vendors that you are willing to deal with and know that they will stand behind their products and then stick with them. Since there are so many online drop shippers many will come and go and offer no after sale support. You can make a living selling on eBay and other auction sites but you must first do your homework and find that niche where there are few sellers. This will ensure a loyal customer base, you get higher margins, and you will be much happier at the end of the day.
