show on the internet that shows the inside view of a Web 2.0 start up. PayPerPost has gone to great lengths to make everything that it does very transparent to it’s core customers which are the bloggers and advertisers. By videotaping and posting content through video they give us all a glimpse on the joys and challenges of starting an online business. My favorite episode has to be number 13. I hope that this number does not mean bad luck, but it actually did for one of the employees at PPP. At the beginning of the episode it shows Xavier receiving a few dead roses in the mail.Bad omen, you could say so. What I liked most is it showed the leadership style of Ted as he is shown going to different meetings and putting people to task to not just accomplish the task assigned, but more importantly be passionate about what they are doing. These types of leaders expect a lot of their people, but if you apply yourself and do have the passion you will be much more successful. It showed the uncomfortable meeting after letting an employee go and having a staff meeting immediatley following. This was great in that you squash any rumors immeditately and make sure everyone else knows what is expected of them.
I would love to see more episodes like this where we are shown the tough choices that need to made in order to be successful. Kudos to Ted and his company for setting the stage for success and showing us that passion will make a difference.
