This system coupled with an hitachi 50 LCD TV produces stunning graphics and images. I would caution anyone looking to hook up their new PS 3 to and HDTV that you are better off with LCD technology as the plasma set will look a little granular if there is a lot of action scenes. Playstation just recently reduced their price to try and stay competitive with the Xbox and the Wii.

With all the holiday specials the biggest gift this year will be a new HDTV for most people. It is important to remember that choosing the technology will depend on how intend on using the TV. If you are in to movies and shows then plasma has some of the deeper blacks, but if you are using gaming purposes then you may want to consider LCD. The reason is that you will see some pixels on a plasma TV with fast images unlike more of a consistent image with LCD.
